Study Skills



Study skills is meant to further develop our analytical skills writing and presentation skills using a problem solving approach; and to also develop us as autonomous learners. Study skills will also help us with maths based on information systems.

The overall assessments are weighted as follows:
Study skills material - 60%
Mathematics - 40%

  • Basic ideas of algebra, notation and manipulation of algebraic expressions
  • Functions of one or more variables and their graphical representation 
  • Solution of linear and quadratic and simultaneous equations
  • Basic elements of Boolean algebra
  • Elementary logic
  • Calculating and interpreting basic statistics
  • Binary and Hex
  • Applied Learning mathematical methods
