Video and Video Conferencing

There is a debate in which people may be able to be taught via videos on the internet or being taught a class by Skype. I think that you can be taught via videos not only on the internet but on CD's as well. Throughout my GCSE year I was mostly taught through both Mathswatch and the teacher himself. I learnt a lot from the videos as the explanation from the video was simple and if we did not understand then the teacher would come over and explain. I think a lot of people would prefer to watch short videos rather than reading long texts. However the person watching may not know if the information they are receiving is in fact true or false. So people would have to trust where the information is coming from.

Videoconferencing

Video conferencing is a way of communicating using a computer to provide a video link for two or more people. Unlike the telephone not only will you be able to see them but hear them. In business this is a major advantage as they would be able to communicate from anywhere in the world. It can also enable for people to have a meeting without leaving their work space.

However there's also a disadvantages to this. I think in a classroom being taught once via a video conference I found that it was too much distracting with all the small delays and the poor audio. I don't think it should be ideal for students. The teacher may not be able to sit down and have chat with you if you do not understand what he is saying with everyone listening.

This is a must watch for all football fans (Credit goes to TogeroProduction on Youtube).
